Biju Joseph Jacob is a passionate techie who works as a Senior Engineering Manager at Grab. He leads a few teams within the Engineering Platform division, focused on building large scale services and infrastructure that is used across all lines of businesses offered by the company (transport, food, payments, insurance, etc).

Prior to this, he was the SE Asia Tech Lead for the Derivatives business at Macquarie Group, working on low-latency market-making systems. He has also previously worked in the algo-trading and high-frequency equity trading team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Academically, Biju holds a M.Sc. in Software Management at Carnegie Mellon University, USA and a B.Eng. (Hons) degree in Computer Science Engineering (along with minor degrees in Business Studies & Entrepreneurship) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has completed the Level I CFA exam.
